SET THE DRAIN
Put in the sink's drain plus the tailpiece that comes off the drain. Your P ‐ trap assembly would attach to the tailpiece. Connect your PVC extension pipe to the other end of the P ‐ trap.
Move the P ‐ trap around until it also the extension touch the drain pipe. This is where you’ll mark the intersection of the two pipes.
Use the hacksaw to trim the drain pipe wherein you signed the intersection with the extension pipe. Efface the burrs with sandpaper.
Position your sanitary tee with the sweep facing up with the outlet pointing towards the P‐trap. That outlet have to be the same dimension as the extension pipe. Use PVC cement to attach the sanitary tee to the drain pipe.
Connect the extension pipe with tee. The extension pipe might be a little too long to fit inside the outlet of the tee; if so, cut it to fit. Take PVC cement to attach the two. You’ll still possess the top of the tee open.
SET THE AIR SYSTEM VALVE
You may apply the piece you trim the drain pipe to insert to the top of the tee. Depending on the type of ’air-admittance-valve´ you possess, you might be able to glue it directly to that piece of pipe.
Or, you might require to set a threaded adaptor as well as then screw in the valve. Ensure the valve own plenty of air around it to function properly.
To get it done, gently wipe away any PVC cement that has come out outside the pipe fittings and let the cement dry.
