8. Flexibility: What I love about classic kitchens is that they´re chameleons: You could take the same kitchen and completely turn its look by combining in modern bar stools or lighting… or industrial bar stools and lighting… or traditional — you get the idea. Classic could become eclectic by adding modern tile and mixing it with a vintage‐style table and chairs and industrial‐style pendant lights.
5. White 'subway´ tile. It really doesn‘t matter what dimension, though the classic is 3x6. It could be machine made or handmade, glossy, crackle, beveled or square edged, or nay in white marble. If you´re searching for a twist on the classic, try a 2x6 or 2x8 or 2x4 ― the proportions could really change the look of your kitchen, as could the grout color.
Classic white shaker‐doors could go much modern by adding a modern light fixture with terrific Saarinen table to the blend. This kitchen indeed possess a little of farmhouse contemporary because of the ceiling, but it’s yet classic.
